About Me

My name is Domenick Sforza. I am a graphic designer in Southern California. I’ve always been a creative person, but I didn't know how to apply my passion for the arts until I learned about graphic design. Design can change everyday items, the mundane, into things we love and get enjoyment through their use. I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design with an emphasis in Visual Design from Cal State University Monterey Bay.

While learning about the design industry I fell in love with simple minimalist designs like those of Frank Lloyd Wright and IDEO. I strive to create simple, bold, straightforward designs that don't need bells and whistles. I also know that minimalism for its own sake misses the point and ends up being ableist. Design is meant to serve its users and community and when it fails to do so for any users it fails in its design.

I have spent the last 3 years working as an in-house graphic designer at Canine Caviar Dog Food. I have also worked as a Volunteer Graphic Designer for Seal Beach Animal Care Center (SBACC), a no-kill animal shelter where I adopted my two dogs. Having the opportunity to design for a cause that I am passionate about has been fulfilling in ways that I did not expect. In the future, I hope to do more work for community organizations.

I am currently open to work, my email is domenicksforza@gmail.com
